Explanatory Notes to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union

Pursuant to the second indent of Article 9(1)(a) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87 (1), the Explanatory Notes to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union (2) are hereby amended as follows:

On page 74, between heading 1602‘Other prepared or preserved meat, meat offal or blood’ and subheading 1602 10 00‘Homogenised preparations’ the following text is inserted:

‘See Additional Note 6(a) to Chapter 2 providing for the classification of uncooked seasoned poultry under Chapter 16. Whether uncooked poultry meat is seasoned or not shall be determined by application of the methods for the sensory testing of uncooked seasoned poultry meat laid down in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1362/2013 (3).
