amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1555]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2089 of 28 September 2023 approving reaction mass of N,N-didecyl-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N-methylammonium propionate and N,N-didecyl-N-(2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethyl)-N-methylammonium propionate and N,N-didecyl-N-(2-(2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)-N-methylammonium propionate as an active substance for use in biocidal products of product-types 2 and 4 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following points are inserted after point 12zzzzzzzzzn (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/471) of Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

Article 2
The texts of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2089 and Implementing Decisions (EU) 2023/2100, (EU) 2023/2101, (EU) 2023/2377, (EU) 2023/2378, (EU) 2023/2380 and (EU) 2023/2386 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 3 February 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
