- Initiative summary:
- Training of justice professionals (judges, prosecutors, court staff, bailiffs, lawyers, notaries, mediators, prison staff, probation officers, etc.) on EU law is essential to ensure that EU legislation is correctly applied in the EU. European judicial training is implemented by national and EU level actors according to a 2011 strategy, which expires in 2020. A new strategy will need to be adopted, reflecting the results of the evaluation of the 2011 Strategy and of a wide public consultation.
