    Subject: The situation of the Commission's Director-General for Fisheries, Steffen Schmidt

    Has the Director-General for Fisheries, Mr Steffen Schmidt, actually been dismissed or is he still in office, as the Commissioner, Mr Franz Fischler, surprisingly seems to have indicated?
