Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 126/2002 of 27 September 2002 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Annex II to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 101/2002 of 12 July 2002(1). (2) Commission Regulation (EC) No 2592/2001 of 28 December 2001 imposing further information and testing requirements on the manufacturers or importers of certain priority substances in accordance with Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93 on the evaluation and control of the risk of existing substances(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (3) Commission Regulation (EC) No 300/2002 of 1 February 2002 amending Annex II to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2455/92 concerning the export and import of certain dangerous chemicals(3), is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (4) Commission Directive 2002/37/EC of 3 May 2002 amending Council Directive 91/414/EEC to include ethofumesate as an active substance(4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement, HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS: Article 1 Chapter XV of Annex II to the Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. The following point shall be inserted after point 12l (Commission Decision 2000/657/EC): "12m. 32001 R 2592: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2592/2001 of 28 December 2001 imposing further information and testing requirements on the manufacturers or importers of certain priority substances in accordance with Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93 on the evaluation and control of the risk of existing substances (OJ L 345, 29.12.2001, p. 25)." 2. The following indent shall be added in point 12a (Council Directive 91/414/EEC): "- 32002 L 0037: Commission Directive 2002/37/EC of 3 May 2002 (OJ L 117, 4.5.2002, p. 10)." 3. The following indent shall be added in point 12c (Council Regulation (EEC) No 2455/92): "- 32002 R 0300: Commission Regulation (EC) No 300/2002 of 1 February 2002 (OJ L 52, 22.2.2002, p. 1)." Article 2 The texts of Regulations (EC) No 2592/2001 and (EC) No 300/2002 and Directive 2002/37/EC in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 5 October 2002, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(5). Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities. Done at Brussels, 27 September 2002.
