Status of ELI implementation

Ireland has fully implemented pillar I since September 2015 and partially implemented pillars II and III (for legislation published in 2016 and 2017) in April 2017.

Ireland’s ELI implementation is described on the Irish Statute Book website.

URI template structure

Legislation published in Ireland applies the following URI template.

In April 2017, the RDFa serialised metadata was implemented live on the eISB for the 22 Acts and 685 statutory instruments published in 2016.

This was followed by the implementation of the ELI metadata for 2017 and will continue for all new legislation published.

The eISB Project Team of the Office of the Attorney General will investigate in 2017 the production of the ELI metadata for the entire legislation data repository (from 1922 to 2015).

HTML and PDF formats are used currently. XML format will be provided later.
