Status of ELI implementation

Ireland has fully implemented pillar I and partially implemented pillars II and III for legislation published from 2013 to date.

Ireland’s ELI implementation is described on the Irish Statute Book website.

URI template structure

Legislation published in Ireland applies the following URI template.

/eli/ {year}/ {type} / {Natural identifier}/ {Level 1…} / {Version} / {Point in Time} / {language}

Example: Motor Vehicle (Duties and Licences) Act 2012 (10/2012)

{year} {type} {Natural identifier} {Level 1...} {Version} {language}

Metadata

All legislation, both primary and secondary, has ELI RDFa serialised metadata implemented from 2013 to date.

Schema.org mark-up (JSON-LD) will also be added to all primary legislation published from 2013 to date.

Publishing formats

Both primary and secondary legislation are published in HTML and PDF formats. XML format is available for all primary legislation.
