In response to the opinion of the European Parliament delivered on 16 January 1996 on the proposal for a European Parliament and Council Decision on the maintenance of national laws prohibiting the use of certain additives in the production of certain foodstuffs COM(95) 126 - 95/0085 (COD) (1) and in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 189A of the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, the Commission has decided to amend the abovementioned proposal as follows:

The table in the Annex is replaced by the following table:
