DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

No 153/2018

of 6 July 2018

amending Annex XI (Electronic communication, audiovisual services and information society) to the EEA Agreement [2021/215]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Decision (EU) 2017/899 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2017 on the use of the 470-790 MHz frequency band in the Union (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)

Annex XI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following point shall be inserted after point 5czn (Directive 2014/61/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex XI to the EEA Agreement:

‘5czo.

32017 D 0899: Decision (EU) 2017/899 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2017 on the use of the 470-790 MHz frequency band in the Union (OJ L 138, 25.5.2017, p. 131).’

Article 2

The text of Decision (EU) 2017/899 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 7 July 2018, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
