Initiative summary:
This initiative aims at revising the EU consumer law to enhance the participation of consumers in the green transition by ensuring that consumers receive trustworthy and relevant information on products, including on their lifespan and on the availability of repair services. It will also consider further strengthening consumer protection against greenwashing and premature obsolescence, and setting minimum requirements for logos or information tools showing products’ sustainability traits.
