Title: Advertising measures in the food-processing industry in the Member States of the EU and in the Accession States

Objective: Advertising and promotion. The scheme notified sets out the general criteria for the granting, by the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) (1), of public part-financing for projects aimed at boosting awareness of Italian food and wine products, and supporting the Made in Italy brand-image in various distribution sectors in the old and new Member States of the European Union, as well as countries applying for EU membership during the period of the scheme

Budget: EUR 2 000 000 for the first year of implementation

Aid intensity or amount: For advertising measures: 50 % of eligible costs.

For promotion measures: 50 % of eligible costs in cases where small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will benefit; in other cases, the overall amount of the aid may not exceed EUR 100 000 per beneficiary per three-year period

Duration: Ten years from the date of notification of the scheme to the Commission (from 20 November 2003 to 19 November 2013).

Aid intensity or amount: Parafiscal levies will always finance at least 50 % of the budget
