DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

No 92/2014

of 16 May 2014

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Commission Regulation (EU) No 1236/2013 of 2 December 2013 concerning the technical specification for interoperability relating to the subsystem ‘rolling stock — freight wagons’ of the rail system in the European Union and amending Regulation (EU) No 321/2013 (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)

Commission Regulation (EU) No 1273/2013 of 6 December 2013 amending Regulation (EU) No 454/2011 on the technical specification for interoperability relating to the subsystem ‘telematics applications for passenger services’ of the trans-European rail system (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3)

Commission Decision 2013/710/EU of 2 December 2013 amending Decision 2012/757/EU concerning the technical specification for interoperability relating to the ‘operation and traffic management’ subsystem of the rail system in the European Union (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4)

Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

1.

The following indent is added in point 37dj (Commission Regulation (EU) No 454/2011):

‘—

32013 R 1273: Commission Regulation (EU) No 1273/2013 of 6 December 2013 (OJ L 328, 7.12.2013, p. 72).’

2.

The following is added in point 37dl (Commission Decision 2012/757/EU) of Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement:

‘, as amended by:

—

32013 D 0710: Commission Decision 2013/710/EU of 2 December 2013 (OJ L 323, 4.12.2013, p. 35).’

3.

The following is added in point 37n (Commission Regulation (EU) No 321/2013):

‘, as amended by:

—

32013 R 1236: Commission Regulation (EU) No 1236/2013 of 2 December 2013 (OJ L 322, 3.12.2013, p. 23).’

Article 2

The texts of Regulations (EU) No 1236/2013 and (EU) No 1273/2013 and Decision 2013/710/EU in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 17 May 2014, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
