DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

No 39/2007

of 27 April 2007

amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 142/2006 of 8 December 2006 (1).

(2)

Commission Regulation (EC) No 1730/2006 of 23 November 2006 concerning the authorisation of benzoic acid (VevoVitall) as a feed additive (2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3)

Commission Regulation (EC) No 1743/2006 of 24 November 2006 concerning the permanent authorisation of an additive in feedingstuffs (3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(4)

Commission Regulation (EC) No 1750/2006 of 27 November 2006 concerning the authorisation of selenomethionine as a feed additive (4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(5)

Commission Regulation (EC) No 1876/2006 of 18 December 2006 concerning the provisional and permanent authorisation of certain additives in feedingstuffs (5), as corrected by OJ L 43, 15.2.2007, p. 42, is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following points shall be inserted after point 1zzzb (Commission Regulation (EC) No 1447/2006) of Chapter II of Annex I to the Agreement:

‘1zzzc.

 32006 R 1730: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1730/2006 of 23 November 2006 concerning the authorisation of benzoic acid (VevoVitall) as a feed additive (OJ L 325, 24.11.2006, p. 9).

1zzzd.

 32006 R 1743: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1743/2006 of 24 November 2006 concerning the permanent authorisation of an additive in feedingstuffs (OJ L 329, 25.11.2006, p. 16).

1zzze.

 32006 R 1750: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1750/2006 of 27 November 2006 concerning the authorisation of selenomethionine as a feed additive (OJ L 330, 28.11.2006, p. 9).

1zzzf.

 32006 R 1876: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1876/2006 of 18 December 2006 concerning the provisional and permanent authorisation of certain additives in feedingstuffs (OJ L 360, 19.12.2006, p. 126), as corrected by OJ L 43, 15.2.2007, p. 42.’

Article 2

The texts of Regulations (EC) No 1730/2006, (EC) No 1743/2006, (EC) No 1750/2006 and (EC) No 1876/2006, as corrected by OJ L 43, 15.2.2007, p. 42, in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 28 April 2007, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (*1).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
