- Initiative summary:
- This initiative lays down requirements for interoperable data sharing in rail transport for: - Capacity and traffic management, as well as train preparation; - Management of wagons and their freight; - Rail ticketing and passenger information. This Commission Implementing Regulation establishes a technical specification for interoperability relating to the subsystem telematics for rail passenger and freight services. It clarifies the role of the European Union Agency for Railways as system authority and introduces implementation deadlines.
