DECISÃO DO CONSELHO
de 15 de Setembro de 2006
que nomeia os membros, belgas, gregos, irlandeses, cipriotas, neerlandeses, polacos, portugueses, finlandeses, suecos e britânicos, bem como dois membros italianos do Comité Económico e Social Europeu

O CONSELHO DA UNIÃO EUROPEIA,
Tendo em conta o Tratado que institui a Comunidade Europeia, nomeadamente o artigo 259.o,
Tendo em conta o Tratado que institui a Comunidade Europeia da Energia Atómica, nomeadamente o artigo 167.o,
Tendo em conta o parecer da Comissão,
Considerando o seguinte:

O mandato dos actuais membros do Comité Económico e Social Europeu chega ao seu termo em 20 de Setembro de 2006 (1). Deverá, portanto, proceder-se à nomeação dos membros do Comité para um novo período de quatro anos, a partir de 21 de Setembro de 2006. |

(2) |
Os Governos belga, grego, irlandês, cipriota, neerlandês, polaco, português, finlandês, sueco e britânico apresentaram listas que contêm um número de candidatos igual ao número de lugares que lhes são atribuídos pelos Tratados. |
|
(3) |
O Governo italiano apresentou uma lista constituída por dois candidatos, a fim de completar a lista já apresentada, que incluía 22 candidatos, e atingir um número de candidatos igual ao número de lugares que lhe são atribuídos pelos Tratados. |

(4) |
Em 11 de Julho de 2006, o Conselho já aprovou as listas apresentadas pelos Governos checo, alemão, estónio, espanhol, francês, letão, lituano, luxemburguês, húngaro, maltês, austríaco, eslovaco e esloveno, bem como a lista de 22 candidatos apresentada pelo Governo italiano (2), |
DECIDE:
Artigo 1.o
São nomeados membros do Comité Económico e Social Europeu, pelo período compreendido entre 21 de Setembro de 2006 e 20 de Setembro de 2010, as pessoas cujos nomes constam das listas anexas à presente decisão.
Artigo 2.o
A presente decisão produz efeitos a partir da data da sua adopção.
Feito em Bruxelas, em 15 de Setembro de 2006.
