- Safety Investigation Authorities are responsible for investigating civil aviation accidents and serious incidents. The public nature of safety recommendations provides for a transparent dialogue on safety matters. Therefore in 2012 the Commission issued a Commission Decision to make safety recommendations public – however such obligation did not include their responses.
