Interinstitutional Agreement extending the Interinstitutional Agreement on the financing of the Convention on the future of the European Union (2002/C 320/01) THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT, THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION AND THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Whereas: (1) On 28 February 2002 the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission signed in Brussels an Interinstitutional Agreement on the financing of the Convention on the future of the European Union(1), to apply until 31 December 2002. (2) That Agreement needs to be extended until the end of the Convention's proceedings or until the end of the 2003 budgetary year at the latest, (3) The contribution of the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission to the financing of the Convention should furthermore be fixed for that period according to another allocation, HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Interinstitutional Agreement on the financing of the Convention on the future of the European Union is hereby extended from 1 January 2003 until the end of the Convention's proceedings or until 31 December 2003 at the latest. 2. In Point 3 of the abovementioned Agreement, the three indents shall be replaced by the following: "- European Parliament: (p.m.), - Council: EUR 200000 (two hundred thousand), - Commission: EUR 750000 (seven hundred and fifty thousand)." 3. This Agreement shall enter into force on 1 January 2003. Done at Brussels on 12 December 2002.
