***** COMMISSION DECISION of 3 February 1984 laying down the codified form for the notification of animal diseases pursuant to Council Directive 82/894/EEC (84/90/EEC) THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Having regard to Council Directive 82/894/EEC of 21 December 1982 on the notification of animal diseases within the Community (1), and in particular Article 5 and Annex II thereof, Whereas it is necessary to lay down the codified form by which the information according to Annex II of Directive 82/894/EEC must be sent to the Member States and the Commission; Whereas it is necessary in this system to maintain the confidentiality of the information by using common code numbers; Whereas, by using a common notification system, it is possible to provide the information indicated by Council Directive 80/217/EEC (2), as last amended by Directive 80/1274/EEC (3), and in particular Article 12 and Annex III thereof; Whereas the measures provided for in this Decision are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Veterinary Committee, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 For the purpose of animal disease notification procedures the information shall be transmitted in the codified form laid down in the Annexes hereto.
