Addressing distortions caused by foreign subsidies

- Initiative summary:
- In March 2019, the European Council tasked the Commission to identify new tools to address the distortive effects some foreign subsidies may have on the single market. In June 2020, the Commission published a document detailing different approaches to address such distortions, focussing specifically on acquisitions and public procurement procedures. The legal instrument(s) under consideration intend to address these issues.
