COUNCIL IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) No 1151/2011

of 14 November 2011

implementing Regulation (EU) No 442/2011 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Syria

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EU) No 442/2011 of 9 May 2011 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Syria (1), and in particular Article 14(1) thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

On 9 May 2011, the Council adopted Regulation (EU) No 442/2011 concerning restrictive measures against Syria.

(2)

In view of the gravity of the situation in Syria and in accordance with Council Implementing Decision 2011/736/CFSP of 14 November 2011 implementing Decision 2011/273/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Syria (2), additional persons should be included in the list of persons, entities and bodies subject to restrictive measures set out in Annex II to Regulation (EU) No 442/2011,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

The persons listed in the Annex to this Regulation shall be added to the list set out in Annex II to Regulation (EU) No 442/2011.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
