DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

No 107/2006

of 22 September 2006

amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 76/2006 of 7 July 2006 (1).

(2)

Commission Regulation (EC) No 479/2006 of 23 March 2006 as regards the authorisation of certain additives belonging to the group compounds of trace elements (2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3)

Commission Regulation (EC) No 492/2006 of 27 March 2006 concerning the provisional and permanent authorisation of certain additives in feedingstuffs (3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(4)

Commission Regulation (EC) No 545/2006 of 31 March 2006 amending Regulation (EC) No 1464/2004 as regards the conditions for authorisation of the feed additive Monteban, belonging to the group of coccidiostats and other medicinal substances (4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

Chapter II of Annex I to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

1.

The following shall be added in point 1zzc (Commission Regulation (EC) No 1464/2004):

‘, as amended by:

—

32006 R 0545: Commission Regulation (EC) No 545/2006 of 31 March 2006 (OJ L 94, 1.4.2006, p. 26).’

2.

The following points shall be inserted after point 1zzt (Commission Regulation (EC) No 252/2006):

1zzu.

‘32006 R 0479: Commission Regulation (EC) No 479/2006 of 23 March 2006 as regards the authorisation of certain additives belonging to the group compounds of trace elements (OJ L 86, 24.3.2006, p. 4).

1zzv.

32006 R 0492: Commission Regulation (EC) No 492/2006 of 27 March 2006 concerning the provisional and permanent authorisation of certain additives in feedingstuffs (OJ L 89, 28.3.2006, p. 6).’

Article 2

The texts of Regulations (EC) No 479/2006, (EC) No 492/2006 and (EC) No 545/2006 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 23 September 2006, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (5).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
