- Initiative summary:
- Based on the Commission study on new genomic techniques, this initiative will propose a legal framework for plants, and food and feed plant products, obtained by targeted mutagenesis and cisgenesis. It will aim at maintaining a high level of protection of human and animal health and the environment, enabling innovation in the agri-food system and contribute to the goals of the European Green Deal and the Farm to fork strategy.
