Reglamento (CE) no 913/2004 de la Comisión

que modifica el Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 del Consejo por el que se aplica el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley para el comercio internacional de diamantes en bruto

LA COMISIÓN DE LAS COMUNIDADES EUROPEAS,

Visto el Tratado constitutivo de la Comunidad Europea,

Visto el Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 del Consejo por el que se aplica el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley para el comercio internacional de diamantes en bruto(1), cuya última modificación la constituye el Reglamento (CE) n° 657/2004(2) de la Comisión, y, en particular, su artículo 20,

Considerando lo siguiente:

(1) El artículo 20 del Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 prevé la modificación de la lista de los participantes en el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley incluida en el anexo II.

(2) La República Checa, Hungría, Polonia y Eslovenia figuran en la lista de los participantes en el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley incluida en el anexo II.

(3) A raíz de su adhesión a la Unión Europea el 1 de mayo de 2004, La República Checa, Hungría, Polonia y Eslovenia dejarán de ser participantes por derecho propio en el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley el 30 de abril de 2004, por lo deben suprimirse de la lista de participantes. Procede modificar el anexo II en consecuencia.

HA ADOPTADO EL PRESENTE REGLAMENTO:

Artículo 1

El anexo II del Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 queda sustituido por el anexo del presente Reglamento.

Artículo 2

El presente Reglamento entrará en vigor el día de su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Unión Europea.

Será aplicable a partir del 1 de mayo de 2004.

El presente Reglamento será obligatorio en todos sus elementos y directamente aplicable en cada Estado miembro.
