REGLAMENTO DE EJECUCIÓN (UE) N o 789/2013 DE LA COMISIÓN
de 16 de agosto de 2013
que modifica el Reglamento (CE) no 2368/2002 del Consejo, por el que se aplica el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley para el comercio internacional de diamantes en bruto
LA COMISIÓN EUROPEA,
Visto el Tratado de Funcionamiento de la Unión Europea,
Visto el Reglamento (CE) no 2368/2002 del Consejo, de 20 de diciembre de 2002, por el que se aplica el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley para el comercio internacional de diamantes en bruto (1), y, en particular, su artículo 19, apartado 6, y su artículo 20,
Considerando lo siguiente:

En la reunión plenaria celebrada en Washington en noviembre de 2012, los participantes en el proceso de Kimberley (PK) aprobaron, por decisión del Pleno, la adición de Panamá, Camboya y Kazajistán a la lista de participantes en el proceso de Kimberley. |

(2) |
Según confirmó una nota del Presidente del PK de 1 de agosto de 2013, los participantes en el proceso de Kimberley también aprobaron, mediante procedimiento escrito, la adición de Mali a la lista de participantes en el proceso de Kimberley. |
|
(3) |
Además, debe actualizarse la dirección de varios puntos de contacto de los participantes en el anexo II. |
|
(4) |
Procede modificar el Anexo II del Reglamento (CE) no 2368/2002 en consecuencia. |
|
(5) |
Las medidas previstas en el presente Reglamento se ajustan al dictamen del Comité mencionado en el artículo 22 del Reglamento (CE) no 2368/2002. |
HA ADOPTADO EL PRESENTE REGLAMENTO:
Artículo 1
El Reglamento (CE) no 2368/2002 queda modificado como sigue:
El anexo II se sustituye por el texto que figura en el anexo del presente Reglamento.
Artículo 2
El presente Reglamento entrará en vigor el día siguiente al de su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Unión Europea.
El presente Reglamento será obligatorio en todos sus elementos y directamente aplicable en cada Estado miembro.
