The publication of model cards issued by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Member States to accredited members of diplomatic missions and consular representations and members of their families, as referred to in Article 19(2) of Regulation (EC) No 562/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 March 2006 establishing a Community Code on the rules governing the movement of persons across borders (Schengen Borders Code) is based on the information communicated by the Member States to the Commission in conformity with Article 34 of the Schengen Borders Code.

In addition to the publication in the OJ, a monthly update is available on the website of Directorate-General for Home Affairs.

SPAIN

Replacement of the information published in OJ C 247, 13.10.2006

1.   General description

—

Card printed in four colours in PVC — ISO 7810 (1995);

—

Physical characteristics of ID-1 identity cards (85,6 × 53,98 mm). Laminated.

—

Security background made up of fine lines, with colour lighter on the right-hand side where the photo goes.

Invisible ink that turns blue (in special light the name of the Ministry and the Spanish coat of arms, are visible both on the front and back of the card).

—

Micro printing on front of card; under the strip and the Ministry logo is a small pink line on which the name of the Ministry can be made out with a threadcounter.

Scrambled indicia, at the top of the back of the card, above the magnetic strip, concealing the name of the Ministry.

Diplomatic missions accreditation document with the indication ‘Diplomatic staff’ (red). This card is issued to staff of Diplomatic Missions with diplomatic status accredited in Spain, and to their spouses and children.

AMBASSADOR'S IDENTITY CARD

In the case of accredited ambassadors, ‘Ambassador’ is indicated at the bottom left-hand side of the card.

CONSULAR OFFICER’S IDENTITY CARD

‘Consular accreditation card’, indicating ‘Consular officer’ (dark green). This card is issued to career consular officials and to honorary consuls accredited in Spain, and to their spouses and children. On the bottom left-hand side of the card, it is stated whether the holder is a career official or an honorary official.

IDENTITY CARD FOR HONORARY CONSUL

On 17 August 2012, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which Avnet, Inc (‘Avnet’, United States of America) acquires, within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Merger Regulation, control of the whole of Magirus AG (‘Magirus’, Germany) by way of purchase of shares.

The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:

For Avnet: distribution of electronic components, computer products, and technology services,

—

For Magirus: distribution of IT hardware, software, and integrated data centre solutions, as well as associated services such as consultancy, training, implementation services, and certification.

On preliminary examination, the Commission finds that the notified transaction could fall within the scope the EC Merger Regulation. However, the final decision on this point is reserved.

On 16 August 2012 the Commission received notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1), by which Verbund AG (Austria) and Siemens AG (Germany) acquire within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Merger Regulation joint control of E-Mobility Provider Austria GmbH & Co KG (Austria) by way of purchase of shares in this newly established joint venture.

The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:

Verbund: an Austrian electricity supply company, whose core business includes generating and transmitting electricity, as well as electricity trading,

—

Siemens: a global electronics and electrical engineering company focusing on the four sectors of energy, healthcare, industry, and infrastructure and cities,

—

E-Mobility Provider Austria: will provide e-mobility services, namely the services needed for operating electric vehicles, such as in particular the provision of charging infrastructure, electricity from renewable sources and information services.
