DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 270/2025
of 5 December 2025
amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2026/668]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Regulation (EU) 2025/1101 of 3 June 2025 amending Regulation (EU) 2018/782 concerning the assessment by the European Medicines Agency of maximum residue limits for chemical-unlike biological substances (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(2) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1102 of 3 June 2025 amending Regulation (EU) No 37/2010 as regards chemical-unlike biological substances (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(3) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1103 of 3 June 2025 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/12 as regards the requirements for applications and requests for the establishment of a no ‘MRL required’ classification for chemical-unlike biological substances (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(4) |
Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Chapter XIII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement is amended as follows:

The following is added in point 12b (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/12): ‘, as amended by:

The following is added in point 12c (Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/782): ‘, as amended by:

The following indent is added in point 13 (Commission Regulation (EU) No 37/2010):

Article 2
The texts of Regulation (EU) 2025/1101 and Implementing Regulations (EU) 2025/1102 and (EU) 2025/1103 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 6 December 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
