DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 61/2025

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2025/987]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1206 of 29 April 2024 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 as regards the extension of the approval periods of the active substances 1-decanol, 6-benzyladenine, aluminium sulfate, azadirachtin, bupirimate, dithianon, dodine, fluometuron, hexythiazox, isoxaben, lime sulphur, orange oil, prosulfuron, quinmerac, sintofen, sodium silver thiosulfate, tau-fluvalinate, tebufenozide, tembotrione and zinc phosphide (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1207 of 29 April 2024 concerning the non-renewal of the approval of the active substance dimethomorph, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1217 of 29 April 2024 concerning the non-renewal of the approval of the active substance mepanipyrim, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4)	Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indents are added in point 13a (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011):

‘—	32024 R 1206: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1206 of 29 April 2024 (OJ L, 2024/1206, 30.4.2024),

—	32024 R 1207: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1207 of 29 April 2024 (OJ L, 2024/1207, 30.4.2024),

—	32024 R 1217: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1217 of 29 April 2024 (OJ L, 2024/1217, 30.4.2024).’

The following points are inserted after point 13zzzzzzzzzzzzzzt (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2198):

32024 R 1207: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1207 of 29 April 2024 concerning the non-renewal of the approval of the active substance dimethomorph, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 (OJ L, 2024/1207, 30.4.2024).

Article 2

The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) 2024/1206, (EU) 2024/1207 and (EU) 2024/1217 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 15 March 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
