DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 57/2025
of 14 March 2025
amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2025/984]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/2492 of 23 September 2024 amending Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 as regards the test methods, to adapt them to technical progress (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(2) |
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/2555 of 21 March 2024 amending Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards hexabromocyclododecane (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(3) |
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/2570 of 22 July 2024 amending Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards methoxychlor (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(4) |
Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indents are added in point 12w (Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council):

The following indent is added in point 12zza (Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008):

Article 2
The texts of Regulation (EU) 2024/2492 and Delegated Regulations (EU) 2024/2555 and (EU) 2024/2570 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 15 March 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
