DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 289/2024

amending Annex VII (Recognition of professional qualifications) to the EEA Agreement [2025/557]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2024/782 of 4 March 2024 amending Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the minimum training requirements for the professions of nurse responsible for general care, dental practitioner and pharmacist (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)	Commission Delegated Decision (EU) 2024/1395 of 5 March 2024 amending Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the evidence of formal qualifications and the titles of training courses (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3)	Annex VII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indents are added in point 1 (Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex VII to the EEA Agreement:

‘—	32024 L 0782: Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2024/782 of 4 March 2024 (OJ L, 2024/782, 31.5.2024),

—	32024 D 1395: Commission Delegated Decision (EU) 2024/1395 of 5 March 2024 (OJ L, 2024/1395, 31.5.2024).’

Article 2

The texts of Delegated Directive (EU) 2024/782 and Delegated Decision (EU) 2024/1395 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 7 December 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
