Notice amending the Rules of Procedure and Code of Conduct for members of the European Economic and Social Committee (May 2022)

On page 51, Article 11, first paragraph:
for:
‘1. Any person, member or employee, can submit a complaint to the ethical committee concerning the behaviour of a member.’,
read:
‘1. Any person, member or employee, can submit a complaint to the ethical committee concerning the behaviour of a member (see Addendum).’.
The following Addendum is added to the act:
‘ ADDENDUM
DECISION ADOPTED BY THE BUREAU
on 22 October 2024 following a request for interpretation of Article 11(1) of Part III of the Code of Conduct
In compliance with Rule 12(8) of the European Economic and Social Committee Rules of Procedure, the Bureau agreed on the following interpretation of Article 11(1) of Part III of the Code of Conduct: the Ethical Committee could receive complaints only from European Economic and Social Committee members and employees.
