DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 245/2024
of 25 October 2024
amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2025/228]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/405 of 30 January 2024 amending Regulation (EU) No 139/2014 as regards the use of signals in case of radio communication failure (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(2) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/403 of 30 January 2024 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/373 as regards the definition of SIGMET and certain requirements for special visual flight rules and air traffic control clearances (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(3) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/404 of 30 January 2024 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) No 923/2012 as regards the updates of relevant ICAO provisions, the completion of the radio communication failure procedure and removing the supplement to the Annex to that Regulation (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement is amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 66xg (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/373):

Article 2
The texts of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/405 and Implementing Regulations (EU) 2024/403 and (EU) 2024/404 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 26 October 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
