DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 75/2024

amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1622]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2749 of 11 December 2023 establishing the best available techniques (BAT) conclusions, under Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on industrial emissions, for slaughterhouses, animal by-products and/or edible co-products industries (1), as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90008, 12.1.2024, , is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)	Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following point is inserted after point 1fza (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/2508) of Annex XX to the EEA Agreement:

32023 D 2749: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2749 of 11 December 2023 establishing the best available techniques (BAT) conclusions, under Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on industrial emissions, for slaughterhouses, animal by-products and/or edible co-products industries (OJ L, 2023/2749, 18.12.2023, as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90008, 12.1.2024.’

Article 2

The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2749, as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90008, 12.1.2024, in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 16 March 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
