DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 30/2023
of 17 March 2023
amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2023/2346]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/925 of 14 June 2022 amending the Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/1882 concerning listed diseases of aquatic animals and the list of species and groups of species posing a considerable risk for the spread of those listed diseases (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(2) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1183 of 8 July 2022 amending Annexes II and IV to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/2002 as regards Union notification and Union reporting on the detection of certain listed diseases (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(3) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1218 of 14 July 2022 amending certain Annexes to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/620 as regards the approval of the disease-free status of certain Member States or zones thereof as regards certain listed diseases and the approval of eradication programmes for certain listed diseases (3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1188 of 8 July 2022 amending Annexes I and II to Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/260 as regards Member States or parts thereof for which national measures for certain diseases of aquatic animals are approved in accordance with Article 226(3) of Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament and of the Council (4) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

This Decision concerns legislation regarding veterinary matters. Legislation regarding veterinary matters shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein. |

Annex I to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Part 1.1 of Chapter I of Annex I to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

Article 2
The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) 2022/925, (EU) 2022/1183 and (EU) 2022/1218 and Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1188 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 18 March 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
