Pursuant to the amendments introduced by Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 741/2012, Protocol No 3 on the Statute of the Court of Justice of the European Union provides for the creation, within both the Court of Justice and the General Court, of the office of Vice-President, responsible for assisting the President in the performance of his duties.

It is necessary to determine the salaries, pensions and allowances of the two Vice-Presidents.

(3)

Council Regulation No 422/67/EEC, No 5/67/Euratom (2) should accordingly be amended.

(4)

Furthermore, it is necessary to amend formally, due to the change of name of the Court of First Instance as a result of the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon on 1 December 2009, the title of Regulation No 422/67/EEC, No 5/67/Euratom and some of the articles thereof,

the title shall be replaced by the following:

‘Regulation No 422/67/EEC, 5/67/Euratom of the Council of 25 July 1967 determining the emoluments of the President and Members of the Commission, of the President, Judges, Advocates-General and Registrar of the Court of Justice, of the President, Members and Registrar of the General Court and of the President, Members and Registrar of the European Union Civil Service Tribunal’;

in Article 2(2), the following line shall be inserted after the line ‘President: 138 %’:

‘Vice-President: 125 %,’;

(3)

in Article 4(3), the following line shall be inserted after the line ‘President: EUR 1 418,07’:

‘Vice-President: EUR 911,38,’;

(4)

in Article 4b, the words ‘Court of First Instance’ shall be replaced by the words ‘General Court’;

(5)

in Article 19a, the words ‘Court of First Instance’ shall be replaced by the words ‘General Court’;

(6)

in Article 21a(1), the words ‘Court of First Instance’ shall be replaced by the words ‘General Court’;

Article 21a(2) shall be replaced by the following:

Implementing Regulation (EU) No 543/2011 lays down, pursuant to the outcome of the Uruguay Round multilateral trade negotiations, the criteria whereby the Commission fixes the standard values for imports from third countries, in respect of the products and periods stipulated in Annex XVI, Part A thereto.

The standard import value is calculated each working day, in accordance with Article 136(1) of Implementing Regulation (EU) No 543/2011, taking into account variable daily data. Therefore this Regulation should enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union,

The representative prices and additional duties applicable to imports of white sugar, raw sugar and certain syrups for the 2012/13 marketing year are fixed by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 892/2012 (3). Those prices and duties were last amended by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 903/2012 (4).

The data currently available to the Commission indicate that those amounts should be amended in accordance with Article 36 of Regulation (EC) No 951/2006.

Given the need to ensure that this measure applies as soon as possible after the updated data have been made available, this Regulation should enter into force on the day of its publication,

The European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) was established to provide additional support for workers made redundant as a result of major structural changes in world trade patterns due to globalisation and to assist them with their reintegration into the labour market.

(2)

The scope of the EGF was broadened, for applications submitted from 1 May 2009 to 30 December 2011, to include support for workers made redundant as a direct result of the global financial and economic crisis.

(3)

The Interinstitutional Agreement of 17 May 2006 allows the mobilisation of the EGF within the annual ceiling of EUR 500 million.

Spain submitted an application on 28 December 2011 to mobilise the EGF in respect of redundancies in 377 enterprises operating in the NACE Revision 2 Division 41 (‘Construction of buildings’) in the NUTS II region of Aragón (ES24) and supplemented it by additional information up to 23 March 2012. This application complies with the requirements for determining the financial contributions as laid down in Article 10 of Regulation (EC) No 1927/2006. The Commission, therefore, proposes to mobilise an amount of EUR 1 300 000.

The EGF should, therefore, be mobilised in order to provide a financial contribution for the application submitted by Spain,

The Commission, therefore, proposes to mobilise an amount of EUR 6 455 104.
