Notice concerning the countervailing measures in force in respect of imports into the Community of cotton-type bed linen originating in India: modification of the name of a company subject to an individual countervailing duty rate

Imports of cotton-type bed linen, originating in India are subject to a definitive countervailing duty, imposed by Council Regulation (EC) No 74/2004 (1).
Ramesh Textiles, a company located in India, whose exports to the Community of cotton-type bed linen are subject to an individual countervailing duty rate of 7,6 % imposed pursuant to Article 1(3) of Regulation (EC) No 74/2004, has informed the Commission that on 1 April 2007, it changed its name to Ramesh Textiles India Pvt. Ltd.
The company has argued that the change of name does not affect the right of the company to benefit from the individual duty rate applied to the company under its previous name of Ramesh Textiles.
The Commission has examined the information supplied and concluded that the change of name in no way affects the findings of Regulation (EC) No 74/2004. Therefore, the reference to Ramesh Textiles should be read as Ramesh Textiles India Pvt. Ltd in the Annex of Regulation (EC) No 74/2004.
The Taric additional code A498 previously attributed to Ramesh Textiles shall apply to Ramesh Textiles India Pvt. Ltd.

On 22 October 2007, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 and following a referral pursuant to Article 4(5) of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which TomTom N.V. (‘TomTom’, the Netherlands) acquires within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation control of the whole of Tele Atlas N.V. (‘Tele Atlas’, the Netherlands) by way of a public bid. |

The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:

On preliminary examination, the Commission finds that the notified transaction could fall within the scope of Regulation (EC) No 139/2004. However, the final decision on this point is reserved. |

The Commission invites interested third parties to submit their possible observations on the proposed operation to the Commission. Observations must reach the Commission not later than 10 days following the date of this publication. On 25 October 2007, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which the undertaking Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. (‘Generali’, Italy) acquires within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation control of the whole of the insurance business in Central Europe to Central Asia of PPF Group N.V. (‘PPF’, the Netherlands) by way of purchase of shares in a newly created company (‘Generali PPF Holding B.V.’, the Netherlands). |

On 24 October 2007, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which the undertakings General Electric Capital Corporation (‘GECC’, USA), a subsidiary of General Electric Company (‘GE’, USA) and Doğuș Holdings A.S. (‘Dogus’, Turkey) acquire within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation joint control of Motoractive Leasing IFN (‘Motoractive’, Romania), Domenia Credit IFN (‘Domenia’, Romania) and Ralfi IFN (‘Ralfi’, Romania), currently under direct and indirect control of GECC, by way of purchase of shares. |
