CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST IN MEMBERSHIP OF THE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE AND SCIENTIFIC PANELS OF THE EUROPEAN FOOD SAFETY AUTHORITY
(Deadline for expression of interest extended until 17 February 2006)

As published in the Official Journal of the European Union C 289 A of 22 November 2005, p. 6, the closing date for sending applications is 7 January 2006. However, due to apparently recurring problems with online applications, in particular during the final week of the application period, the deadline for expression of interest has been extended until Friday 17 February 2006.
This call is addressed to scientists wishing to be considered for membership of the Scientific Committee or a scientific panel of the European Food Safety Authority, established by Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 January 2002 laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and laying down procedures in matters of food safety. The Authority has its permanent seat in Parma, Italy.
