On the first-time purchase made after 1 January 2002 of machines that apply manure directly in the soil are eligible for support. The purchase of these machines is encouraged in order to reduce the dispersion of nitrogen compounds (NH3, NO3-) into the environment. The measure is identical with the State aid measure N 10/00 whose duration was limited to 31 December 2001.
