Wednesday
Following consultations with the political groups, the President proposed the following change to the final draft agenda:
|
— |
The second and third items on the agenda would be switched so that the Commission statement on the Decision adopted on the European Pillar of Social Rights and work-life balance initiative (item 14, PDOJ) became the second item, after the Commission statement on the Situation in Hungary (item 103, PDOJ). Parliament approved this change. |

The request from the S&D Group was approved. |
|
— |
Request from the ENF Group to include on the agenda a Statement by the Vice-President of the Commission/High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy on the situation of Coptic Christians in Egypt, after the debate on the State of play in Turkey, in particular with regard to the constitutional referendum (item 36, PDOJ). The debate on the report by Mircea Diaconu (A8-0340/2016) on the European Year of Cultural Heritage would be postponed to the May I part-session. The following spoke: Franz Obermayr, on behalf of the ENF Group, who moved the request, Cristian Dan Preda to propose that a debate on the situation of Christians throughout the Middle East be held in the May I part-session, Franz Obermayr to stress the importance of the request by his Group, Peter van Dalen and Victor Boștinaru. Parliament rejected the request by RCV (101 in favour, 300 against, 30 abstentions). |
The President said that the Conference of Presidents would decide whether to include this matter on the agenda for the May I part-session. He undertook to convey Parliament's position — which was one of tolerance and inter-religious dialogue — to the Grand Mufti of Egypt, who he was meeting the next day.
Thursday
The President said that the report by Gilles Lebreton on the Request for waiver of the immunity of António Marinho e Pinto (A8-0163/2017) and the objection raised to the Commission Delegated Regulation amending Annex III to Regulation (EU) No 978/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council applying a scheme of generalised tariff preferences would be included on the voting list.
