The Commission has decided to close the formal investigation procedure under Article 108(2) of the TFEU, initiated on 9 November 2011 (1) in respect of the measure referred to above, recording that Germany has withdrawn its notification on 4 October 2012 and will reduce the aid amount, in order to respect the limits and fulfil the conditions of Commission Regulation (EC) No 800/2008 of 6 August 2008 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the common market in application of Articles 87 and 88 of the Treaty (General Block Exemption Regulation) (2).
