Notice concerning a request in accordance with Article 30 of Directive 2004/17/EC — Deadline extension

On 26 October 2011, the Commission received a request pursuant to Article 30(5) of Directive 2004/17/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 March 2004 coordinating the procurement procedures of entities operating in the water, energy, transport and postal services sectors (1).

This request, from the Bundesverband der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft e.V. (Federal Association of the Energy and Water Industry) on behalf of the contracting entities in that sector, concerns electricity production and wholesale in Germany. It was published in OJ C 337, 18.11.2011, p. 7. The initial deadline was 27 January 2012.

Given that the Commission needs to obtain and analyse additional information, and in accordance with the second sentence of Article 30(6), the period granted to the Commission for deciding on this request is hereby extended by three months.

The final deadline is therefore 27 April 2012.
