Communication from the Kingdom of Belgium concerning Directive 94/22/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the conditions for granting and using authorisations for the prospection, exploration and production of hydrocarbons

Pursuant to Article 10 of Directive 94/22/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 1994 on the conditions for granting and using authorisations for the prospection, exploration and production of hydrocarbons (1), the Kingdom of Belgium hereby notifies to the European Commission the list of competent authorities responsible for dealing with applications relating to areas located within the Walloon Region.

Pursuant to the Walloon Government Decree of 19 March 2009 laying down the procedure and detailed rules for examining applications for licences to explore for and produce oil and gas, and amending the Walloon Government Decree of 4 July 2002 establishing the list of projects subject to an impact assessment and of classified installations and activities, all applications for licences to explore for and extract oil and gas must be submitted to the following authority:
