Objective of aid: The aid is granted under Article 15(2)(e)(i). The purpose of the aid is to improve the dissemination of scientific information on the use of pesticides to primary agricultural, horticultural and fruit producers by promoting and targeting advice on cultivation in line with the guidelines for integrated pest management (IPM).

The final beneficiaries are primary producers.

The costs incurred by consultants in connection with the dissemination of scientific information and results of IPM to the primary producers, including expenditure on consultants’ wages, on practical dissemination at company level, on publications, websites, etc., constitute eligible expenditure.

These advisory activities do not involve direct payments to primary producers.

Aid for investment in agricultural holdings (Article 4 of Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006),

Aid for the conservation of traditional landscapes and buildings (Article 5),

Aid for setting up of young farmers (Article 7),

Aid towards the payment of insurance premiums (Article 12),

Aid to encourage the production of quality agricultural products (Article 14),

Provision of technical support in the agricultural sector (Article 15).

Eligible expenditure is as defined for each type of aid in Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006.

Maximum aid intensity: In accordance with Article 4 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 of 15 December 2006, and provided that the limits laid down in Article 4(9) of that Regulation are not exceeded, the maximum aid intensity is as follows:

Aid may also not exceed the percentages for eligible investments laid down in Article 4(2) of the aforementioned Regulation.

Date of implementation: From the date of publication of the registration number of the request for exemption on the website of the Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development; the aid may not be applied before the date of the above publication.

Duration of scheme or individual aid award: Until 31 December 2013; a call for proposals will be published annually.

Objective of aid: The objective of the aid is to establish, by means of competitive tendering, the regulatory basis for State aid to promote tractor and automotive agricultural machinery renewal in Spain. The eligible costs are those related to the scrapping of the older machines and their replacement with new tractors and machinery equipped with modern technology, thereby improving working conditions, increasing energy efficiency and protecting the environment (Article 1).

The aid is set at EUR 80 per scrapped tractor or automotive machine, with various supplements depending on the beneficiary, their holding, the characteristics of the scrapped machinery and those of the newly-acquired machinery. The aforementioned ceilings for aid will in turn be restricted pursuant to Article 19 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 on the application of Articles 87 and 88 of the Treaty to State aid to small and medium-sized enterprises active in the production of agricultural products and amending Regulation (EC) No 70/2001, and provided that the limits laid down in the following paragraphs or in Article 4(9) of that Regulation are not exceeded.

The aid is granted on the basis of Article 4(4)(b) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006.

The aid will be granted for activities carried out after the aid application is submitted.

Other information: Aid granted under the Royal Decree will be compatible with any other type of aid granted for the same purpose by the public authorities or by other public or private bodies, subject to the limits laid down in Article 19 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 of 15 December 2006 on the application of Articles 87 and 88 of the Treaty to State aid to small and medium-sized enterprises active in the production of agricultural products, and provided that the limits laid down in the following paragraphs or in Article 4(9) of that Regulation are not exceeded.

However, if the total aid obtained by each beneficiary at the same time and for the same purpose from all public authorities or public or private national or international bodies exceeds those limits, the aid granted under this Royal Decree will be reduced proportionally until those limits are reached.

Where the total amount of aid entails a level of aid intensity above the maximum limits laid down in the Community applicable, it shall be reduced to the aforementioned limit.

Duration of scheme or individual aid award: The aid scheme will last until the funds have been spent and in any case not beyond 31 December 2010.

Objective of aid: Article 4 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 of 15 December 2006 on the application of Articles 87 and 88 of the EC Treaty to State aid to small and medium-sized enterprises active in the production of agricultural products and amending Regulation (EC) No 70/2001.

The investment must pursue notably the following objectives:

The aid aims at achieving a much higher level of security for operators compared with machinery or tractors of the same type put on the market prior to 1 January 2000. Definite improvements have also been achieved in terms of the environmental performances of new machinery and tractors, which in line with the current legal requirements indicated in the circular of 20 April 2010, ensure reductions in the emissions of gaseous pollutants and harmful substances produced by internal combustion engines in comparison with machinery put on the market prior to 2004.
