Adoption of eight reference documents for the purpose of Council Directive 96/61/EC concerning integrated pollution prevention and control(1)

On 21 December 2001, the Commission adopted the complete texts of the reference documents on best available techniques in:

- production of iron and steel,

- cement and lime manufacturing industries,

- non-ferrous metals industries,

- pulp and paper industry,

- glass manufacturing industry,

- ferrous metals processing industry,

- chlor-alkali manufacturing industry,

- industrial cooling systems.
