Objective: Promote the safe disposal of old stocks of feedingstuffs, which contain animal protein and which may therefore no longer be used. The aid compenstates for part of the costs of disposal and of the value of the goods disposed of

Legal basis: Bekanntmachung des Bundesministeriums für Verbraucherschutz, Ernährung und Landwirtschaft über Ausgleichszahlungen des Bundes für die Entsorgung von Altfuttermittelbeständen der gewerblichen Wirtschaft, die tierische Proteine enthalten und die den Verboten nach den §§ 1 und 2 des Gesetzes über das Verbot des Verfüttern, des innergemeinschaftlichen Verbringens und der Ausfuhr bestimmter Futtermittel unterliegen

Budget: The aid is to be financed out of Federal funds. The overall budget for the measure is DEM 40 million (EUR 20,5 million) for 2001

Aid intensity or amount: The aid is in the form of direct grants up to a maximum of two-thirds of the eligible costs (66,6 %)

Duration: Until 31 December 2001
