ASSENT No 19/84 given by the Council, pursuant to Article 55 (2) (c) of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, in order to allow the Commission to grant financial aid of 19 500 000 ECU obtained from the levies provided for under Article 50 of the said Treaty and allocated as follows: -Community coal research programme into mining engineering and product beneficiation : 19 388 700 ECU - dissemination of results and associated charges : 111 300 ECU. By letter dated 19 March 1984 the Commission of the European Communities requested the assent of the Council of the European Communities, pursuant to Article 55 (2) (c) of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, to the desirability of allocating funds from the levies provided for under Article 50 of the said Treaty to a Community coal research programme into mining engineering and beneficiation of the products of the mining industry and to the dissemination of results and associated charges.

The Council gave the assent sought by the Commission at its 937th meeting on 18 and 19 June 1984.
