ASSENT No 3/78 given by the Council pursuant to the first and second paragraphs of Article 95 of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, to a draft Commission Decision prohibiting alignment on offers of iron and steel products and pig iron originating in certain third countries

By letter dated 6 March 1978 the Commission of the European Communities requested that, pursuant to the first and second paragraphs of Article 95 of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, the Council of the European Communities gives its assent to a draft Commission Decision prohibiting alignment on offers of iron and steel products and pig iron originating in certain third countries.

The Council gave its assent as requested by the Commission by means of the written procedure, which was completed on 14 March 1978.
