COUNCIL IMPLEMENTING DECISION 2011/736/CFSP
of 14 November 2011
implementing Decision 2011/273/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Syria
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 31(2) thereof,
Whereas:
(1) |
On 9 May 2011, the Council adopted Decision 2011/273/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Syria (1). |
(2) |
On 23 October 2011, the European Council stated that the EU would impose further measures against the Syrian regime as long as the repression of the civilian population continued. |
(3) |
In view of the gravity of the situation in Syria, the Council considers it necessary to impose additional restrictive measures. |
(4) |
Additional persons should be included in the list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures as set out in Annex I to Decision 2011/273/CFSP. |
(5) |
Decision 2011/273/CFSP should be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The persons listed in the Annex to this Decision shall be added to the list set out in Annex I to Decision 2011/273/CFSP.
Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
