DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 244/2023

amending Protocol 31 to the EEA Agreement, on cooperation in specific fields outside the four freedoms [2024/984]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Articles 86 and 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)	It is appropriate to extend the cooperation of the Contracting Parties to the EEA Agreement to include Decision (EU) 2023/936 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 10 May 2023 on a European Year of Skills (1).

(2)	Protocol 31 to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended in order to allow for this extended cooperation to take place,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indent is added in point 8 of Article 4 of Protocol 31 to the EEA Agreement:

‘-	32023 D 0936: Decision (EU) 2023/936 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 10 May 2023 on a European Year of Skills (OJ L 125, 11.5.2023, p. 1).’

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force on the day following the last notification under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement (*1).

Article 3

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
