DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 107/2023

amending Annex XXI (Statistics) to the EEA Agreement [2023/2260]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)	Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/2147 of 8 October 2020 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2019/516 of the European Parliament and of the Council by defining the list of issues to be addressed in every verification cycle (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1546 of 23 October 2020 establishing the structure and detailed arrangements of the inventory of the sources and methods used to produce gross national income aggregates and their components in accordance with the European System of Accounts (ESA 2010) (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3)	For practical reasons, points 19 to 19b of Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement should be renumbered.

(4)	Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Points 19 to 19b of Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement shall be renumbered as follows:

1.	Point 19 (Regulation (EU) 2019/516 of the European Parliament and of the Council) is renumbered as point 19a.

2.	Point 19a (Regulation (EU) 2016/792 of the European Parliament and of the Council) is renumbered as point 19b.

3.	Point 19aa (Commission Regulation (EU) No 93/2013) is renumbered as point 19ba.

4.	Point 19b (Commission Regulation (EC) No 1749/96) is renumbered as point 19bb.

Article 2

The following points are inserted after point 19a (Regulation (EU) 2019/516 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement:

‘19aa.

Article 3

The texts of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/2147 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1546 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 29 April 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
