DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 110/2020

of 14 July 2020

amending Annex XVIII (Health and safety at work, labour law, and equal treatment for men and women) to the EEA Agreement [2023/1370]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Directive (EU) 2019/130 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 January 2019 amending Directive 2004/37/EC on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)

Directive (EU) 2019/983 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 amending Directive 2004/37/EC on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3)

Annex XVIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indents are added in point 14a (Directive 2004/37/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex XVIII to the EEA Agreement:

‘—

32019 L 0130: Directive (EU) 2019/130 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 January 2019 (OJ L 30, 31.1.2019, p. 112),

32019 L 0983: Directive (EU) 2019/983 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 (OJ L 164, 20.6.2019, p. 23).’

Article 2

The texts of Directives (EU) 2019/130 and (EU) 2019/983 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 15 July 2020, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
