DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 176/2019
of 14 June 2019
amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2022/2168]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Decision (EU) 2019/70 of 11 January 2019 establishing the EU Ecolabel criteria for graphic paper and the EU Ecolabel criteria for tissue paper and tissue products (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(2) |
Decision (EU) 2019/70 repeals Commission Decisions 2009/568/EC (2), 2011/333/EU (3) and 2012/448/EU (4), which are incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which are consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. |

(3) |
Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Annex XX to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following point is inserted after point 2zq (Commission Decision (EU) 2018/1702):

The texts of points 2i (Commission Decision 2009/568/EC), 2x (Commission Decision 2011/333/EU) and 2ze (Commission Decision 2012/448/EU) are deleted. |
Article 2
The text of Decision (EU) 2019/70 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 15 June 2019, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
